Office redesign process

… or what’s the point of hiring a professional office redesign company anyway?

Every building is different; every potential for a stunning finished space unique. With a professional design and refurbishment company alongside you on this journey, you ensure a stress-free, cost-efficient, time-saving experience. Here’s how we make the office redesign happen for our clients.

1

The survey

Before we can start working on our canvas, we need to know what that canvas actually looks like. Every partnership we enter starts with a survey of the building at hand. If you have digital building plans yourself, great. If you don’t, we’ll create them for you. Either way it’s a necessary piece of the puzzle, but we are here to take tasks off you, not make it harder. The finished plan will include floorplans and elevations that cover everything we need to get started.

The strategic review

What’s your office redesign or relocation objective long-term with your space? Is it higher productivity? Greater footfall? More enjoyment? A happier place to be in? No matter what you’re hoping to achieve, the strategic review is where we take all the components of your future dream space, map them out, and start linking them to possible solutions for interior design. This is always done in dialogue with our clients, to make sure the plan supports where you want to go.

The form of brief

Iterating the process is a process in and of itself. At this stage, we take all the information with us to form concept designs and provisional budget costs details. Then we review with you, discuss, gain more information, go through possible bumps along the road, until we land at a finished concept everyone agrees on. This is the structure of what will ultimately become your dream space design.

The developed design

Before actually forming the developed design, we speak with the local planning office (if needed) and Building Control on your behalf. This way, we identify any particular issues they may see with the project before moving forward. Once we’re all clear, we get to work on developing your design. This means finishing proposals and costs, and creating the visual plan for what your new, amazing space is going to look like.

The technical design

One of the biggest headaches for most people wanting a new space created – the good news is we take it off your hands. This covers all construction drawings, Method Statements, CDM (Construction Design Management), Health and Safety, Project Management details, submission of Planning application, and (once approved), issuing notifications to HSE of construction dates, timings and work being undertaken. We also purchase all materials and products required for the build. In other words: We do everything – you don’t need to do anything.

The construction

So, we’ve done all the paper and planning work for you – now it’s time to build. With Mx2 Interior’s professional construction and refurbishment crews, specialist traders, and project management, you can focus on your business while we build and make your space come to life. Once all the boxes have been checked, and double-checked, we hand your next favourite place-to-be over, ready to enjoy.
